Seven years ago I made a massive career change, and I’ve never looked back.
Leaving the world of fashion in 2012, I returned to the midwest to begin a new life as a graphic designer, turning my passion into a career. I sold all my belongings and started learning as much as I could about graphic design. I began traveling the United States, surrounding myself with all new experiences that made my comfort zone cringe. I spent time in places I’d never “normally” visit, including anywhere I thought I’d inhale an ounce of diversity. Following my first bucket list, I ate with the homeless, gave rides to strangers, slept in my car, and met artists, designers, travelers and ski-bums — making connections from coast to coast. I continue this tradition with a new bucket list each year. Always remember, “A good day is a good day. A bad day is a good story. At the end of the day, it’s all good.”
